James Theodore Evans

WADESBORO - Mr. James Theodore Evans, 71, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Fall Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home. James was born February 10, 1945 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Lewis Evans and the late Margie Burr Evans. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Burr Evans of the home and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, L.W. Shorty Burr, Nick Burr (Evelyn), Tad Burr, Franklin Burr (Carolyn), Martha Morton (Wayne), and Lillie Morton (Roy Steeler); and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Thomas Evans.
