James Harold Hinson

ROCKINGHAM Mr. James Harold Hinson, 73, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home. Services will be 3:00pm Monday, May 21, 2018 by the graveside in the Hinson Family Cemetery, HWY 145 in Morven with Rev. James Brigman officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. James was born February 20, 1944 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Alfred Leak Hinson and the late Myrtle Dean Hinson. He was retired from Pauls Heating and Air in Rockingham and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his children, John (Jennifer) Hinson of Selma, Wendy (Tony) Harris of Charlotte, Diana (Michael) Horton of Hamlet, Harold Parker, Jr., Terry Parker, Clinton Parker and Doreen Jenks all of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Sarah Faye Hinson, Noah Hinson, Jasper James Hinson, Logan Charles Hinson, Kaitlyn Hardee, Karrissa Horton, Destiny, Parker, Russell Parker, Wendy Jacobs, Little Clinton Parker, Kristin Parker, Kevin Jenks, and Travis Jenks; 14 great-grandchildren and his brother, Larry (Pat) Hinson of Hamlet. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his partner of 23 years, Verline Carpenter Worrell, his son, Jimbo Hinson and his grandson, Frankie Jenks..
