James "Jim" Gaston Huntley

WADESBORO – On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Mr. James “Jim” Gaston Huntley, 66, passed away peacefully at Hospice Haven at Richmond County Hospice in Rockingham with his family at his bedside. 

 Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Northam Cemetery in Rockingham.

  The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the funeral home and other times at the home. 

 Jim was born June 5, 1958, in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Charles Beverly Huntley and the late Dot Capel Huntley. He was a graduate of Southview Academy in Wadesboro and attended North Carolina State University. He was the owner and operator of Huntley Plumbing. 

 Those who ware left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Donna Goodwin Huntley; his children, Jeremy Brown (Jerica) of Rockingham, Michelle Arnette of Hamlet and Angie Carriker (Jason) of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Carrie Smith, Derek Smith and Jeremiah Brown; his great-grandchildren, Caenyn and Kiren; his brother, Charles Huntley of Wadesboro and his stepmother, Nancy Huntley of Wadesboro. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Jennifer Lynn Arnette and Carrie Ann Arnette.
