Lilesville - Mr. James D. 'Jimmy' Liles, 87, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Hospice House of Union County. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in Gum Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church beginning one hour prior to the service. Jimmy was born in Anson County on September 20, 1924, a son of the late Eli Benford and Sallie Usrey Liles. He was retired from Clark Equipment Co. and a longtime member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. His wife of 65 years, Rebecca 'Becky' Marsh Liles preceded him in death in November 2011. Survivors include two sons, Ben (Wanda Brooks) Liles of Polkton, and Dan (Debbie) Liles of Monroe; five grandchildren, Elisha Liles, Brandy (Nick) Gaddy, Jamie (Danielle) Liles, Josh Gregory and Anna Liles; four great-grandchildren, Catalina, Benjamin, Caleb and Lily; and a brother, William H. 'Bill' (Ann) Liles of Chesterfield, SC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
