Wadesboro James 'Keith' Ricketts entered into the arms of Jesus on Friday May 11, 2018.
Keith was a loving and devoted, son, father and friend. He was a solid foundation of faith and love for his family which he cherished. His heart was always centered around his parents, J.R.and Eugenia, and his children, Heath and Carly and Kerry and Wesley. He especially enjoyed his role as 'Pop' for his grandchildren, Hank and Harper; whom he adored.
Keith always enjoyed every chance he had to spend time with family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and always looked forward to the yearly fall fishing festivities with the 'beach crowd' at Cherry Grove Beach. Being a part of this group was very meaningful for the whole family as they gathered for fun, fellowship and fishing every year; but more than that they gathered for special events throughout the year and shared life together.
Keith's joyful personality, smile and zest for life was contagious and brought much happiness to all who were blessed to know him. He will be greatly missed by all, but a special place will always remain in our hearts reserved just for him.
Born August 22, 1956, Keith was a proud graduate of both Bowman High School (1974) and N.C. State University (1978). He was employed by MCT General Contractors, Inc. where he worked as a project manager and estimator. A longtime Christian, Keith served as a deacon at Hopewell Baptist Church Wadesboro where he was a member. Keith also enjoyed his longtime brotherly masonic ties at Kilwinning Masonic Lodge.
A service to celebrate Keiths life will be held at 4:00PM Tuesday in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Randall officiating. Interment with Masonic Funeral Rites will follow in the Mt. Beulah Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00PM on Monday also at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church Wadesboro Building Fund, 420 Hopewell Church Rd., Monroe, NC 28110.
