MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Mr. James Darryl Watts, 51, died Friday, July 22, 2016 after a short illness in the Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC.
Services will be will be 11:00am Monday, July 25, 2016 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park.
(Due to the heat, the family has decided to have the funeral services in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.)
He was born July 30, 1964 in Anson County, Wadesboro, NC. He was predeceased by his father, James Thomas Watts and his older brother, Kenneth Thomas Watts.
He was a graduate of Southview Academy in Wadesboro and led his basketball team to many victories. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. A longtime member of the Masons, the American Legion and was a 21 year employee of Santee Cooper.
Surviving are his mother, Carolyn C. Mims and step-father, Donald E. Mims of Murrells Inlet, SC; his fiance, Cathy Edwards of Myrtle Beach, SC, his daughter, Candice L. Watts of Myrtle Beach, SC, his son, Thomas Darryl Watts, US Air Force stationed in Anchorage, Alaska and a favorite uncle and aunt, Alvin and Nancy Cauthen of Rockingham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
