Wadesboro- Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Doby Thomas, 61, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. Memorial services will be 11:00AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Harvest Ministries in Wadesboro with Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Janie was born March 26, 1955 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Robert and Geneva Edwards Doby. She attended school in the Stanly County area. Surviving are her sons, Michael Thomas and special friend, Carolyn Jackson of Spring Lake and Richard Thomas and wife, Samantha of Richfield; her grandchildren, Jasmine, Michael, Jonathon, Kaithlyn, Gavin and Graclyn Thomas. her brother and sisters, David Doby and wife, Nola of Albemarle, Slyvia Doby Chandler and husband, Ron of Albemarle, Vickie Doby Earnhardt and husband, Jim of Salisbury, Mary Doby Hyer and husband, Charles of Polkton, and Debbie Doby Clark and husband, Alan of New London. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thomas, her Brother, Robert Doby, and sister, Sue Doby Carver. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
