Jeffrey Carl Brown

CHARLOTTE Mr. Jeffrey Carl Brown, 56, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home. Jeff was born October 14, 1960 in Pottsville, PA a son of Doris Arlene Nagle Brown and the late Carl William Brown. He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School and studied Business and Music Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He had a career in banking which spanned more than 35 years, having started with First Union, then Wachovia and now Wells Fargo. He was currently Assistant Vice President and Application System Engineer for Wells Fargo. Among Jeffs greatest loves was music. He was an integral part of One Voice Chorus of Charlotte, of which he was a past member of the small auditioned ensemble, Sotto Voce, served on the Board of Directors of the chorus and was one of the largest supporters of the chorus. He also loved his canine companions and enjoyed sharing times with them at Barkingham Dog Park in Charlotte. His beloved dogs, Carmen and Mischief are among his survivors and he was preceded in death by his beloved, Bear, Hershe and Patches. Surviving are his husband, Rafael A. Jenkins; his mother, Doris Brown of Pine Grove, PA; his sister and brother, Yvonne (Glenn) Hummel and Kevin (Tara) Brown both of Pine Grove, PA; his nieces and nephews and their families, as well as, his friends from One Voice Chorus. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Voice Chorus of Charlotte, PO Box 9241, Charlotte, NC 28299. There will be a memorial service at 7:00pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Charlotte, where One Voice Chorus meets weekly with a reception following the service.
