PEACHLAND - Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Davis, 50, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 6:00pm Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date in the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Jeffrey was born February 17, 1962 in Union County, NC a son of Patsy Carpenter Davis and the late Charles Davis. He was a carpenter and a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Persian Gulf War. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Chelsea Davis of Indian Land, SC; his grandson, Charlie; his mother, Patsy Davis of Peachland; his fiance', Wanda Dennis of the home; and his brothers, Rodney Davis of Wingate and Edward Davis of Tega Cay, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a trust for his grandson, Charles Ryder Davis. Details will be shared when available. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
