POLKTON - Mr. Jimmy Nelson Caudle, 75, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe.
Services will be 5:00pm Thursday, May 30, 2013 by the graveside in the Caudle Family Cemetery located near their home on HWY 218.
The family will greet friends beginning at 3:00pm Thursday at the Old Caudle Home place until time for the service at 5:00pm and following the service.
Jimmy was born December 29, 1937 in Anson County, NC a one of 14 children of Paul Tyson and Blanche Elizabeth Carpenter Caudle. He was retired from Pee Dee Electric Corporation with more than 35 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Myrtle Jameson Caudle of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Kenny Martin of Ansonville and Sharon and Mark Smotherman of Clemson, SC; his grandchildren, Karen Martin and Kyle Martin both of Ansonville and John Mark Smotherman and Sara Beth Smotherman both of Clemson, SC; his great-granddaughter, Riley Jones of Ansonville; his sisters, Annie Edwards of Marshville, Helen Taylor and Sue Dellinger both of Polkton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, John, Keith, Joe, Larry, Sampson, Pete and Emmer Caudle and Rachel Hornback, Polly Underwood and Pearl Odom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Indian Trail, East Campus Building Fund, P.O. Box 279, Marshville, NC 28103.
