Jo Ann Leach Fogerty

WILMINGTON Mrs. Jo Ann Leach Fogerty, 63, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Crump officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Jo Ann was born November 20, 1953 in Florence, SC a daughter of Jerry Edward Leach and Louise Lowder Leach. She graduated high school in Florence, SC and attended Francis Marion University in Florence. She and husband made their home in Augusta, GA until 2011 when they relocated to Wilmington, NC. While in Augusta, Jo Ann sang with the Augusta Choral Society and the Augusta Chamber Singers. Surviving are her husband of 30 years, John Thomas Fogerty of Wilmington; her son, Brandon (Naomi) Fogerty of Seattle, WA; her granddaughter, Hannah Yuuki Fogerty and a new grandbaby in February 2018; her parents, Jerry and Louise Leach of Sarasota, FL; her sister and brother, Lorraine (Tommy) Rheinlander of Sarasota, FL and Jerry Leach, Jr. of Florence, SC; and her step-son, Tommy Fogerty of Augusta, GA.
