He entered into this world September 7, 1944; the baby boy of Clara and Lacy Adams. An experienced landscaper, a devoted cattle farmer and beef producer, a knowledgeable mechanic, a loving husband, dedicated father, and father-in-law. He was owner and operator of Adams Farms; a place where he found serenity.
He retired from Duff Norton as a safety inspector and foreman. He served in the Lion's Club, was an active member in the Anson County Cattlemen's Association and served on many various civic advisory committees.
He devoted his life to enjoying God's beauty of green pastures and nurturing his farm and livestock. He prided himself for growing and harvesting his hay, producing quality beef and maintaining a happy home and farm for his small immediate family and friends.
He fought the fight of life's struggles, finished the race, and won the battle as Heaven is now his eternal home. Through life's trials, he maintained a steadfast faith in God and led others to Christ.
Surviving is the love of his life of 52 years; Odelia Tarlton Adams, an only daughter, Shelia Rae Adams and son-in-law, Marshall 'Red' Locklear and a loving
and devoted dachshund, 'Doodlebug' whom Poppy loved dearly.
Also surviving are his brothers, L.M. (Margaret) Adams, David (Linda) Brock and Wilbur (Cindy) Brock, all of Cheraw, SC. His sisters, Patsy (Jim) Leviner of Wallace, SC and Beverly (Bill) Vaughn of Cheraw, SC.
He was a loving and devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was an exceptional and loyal friend to everyone that knew him as an acquaintance.
Memorials may be made to Cathedral Baptist Church, Morven Baptist Church or Anson County Cattleman's Association.
