Joe Mr. Carpenter

Ansonville - Mr. Joe Carpenter, 93, died Monday, July 16, 2012 in CMC-Union Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Wednesday in Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Bost and Rev. Fred Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends in the church beginning at 1:00PM. Joe was born in Anson County on September 18, 1918, a son of the late Fred Perry and Ellen Inez Tucker Carpenter. He was a retired self-employed homebuilder and married to the late Jewell Bailey Carpenter. Survivors include his daughter, Joann C. Tarlton of Ansonville; his son, Joey (Kris) Carpenter of Concord; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Frances High and Lula Nell Kiker both of Ansonville; and a brother, Steve Carpenter of Ansonville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
