John Edward Mr. Baucom

Genesis 26:29 Mr. John Edward Baucom answered God's call on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center Main in Charlotte. He was born February 24, 1950 in Anson County, NC a son of the late George Frank and Johnsie Geneva Gaddy Baucom. He was a 1968 graduate of Bowman High School and was employed with A&P for 25 years and later with Wansona for 2 years. He confessed Christ at an early age and attended Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church in Wadesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and leaves to cherish his loving memories 1 daughter, DeLonda Peguese of Lilesville; 2 sons, Edward Dewayne Baucom of Wadesboro and Dexter Wayne Lilly of Wadesboro; 5 grandchildren, Lamont, Kenny, Marvin, Quevon and Lala; sisters, Maxine Capel of Wadesboro, Betty Stephens of Lilesville, Joyce Baucom of Washington, DC; brothers, George (Susan) Baucom, Jr. of Silver Springs, MD and Tracy Baucom of Morven; 1 aunt, Nancy Young of Lexington; 1 uncle, Edward Baucom of Palm Coast, FL; special friend, James (Pull) Gaddy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be 3:00pm Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Whiley Cash officiating.
