John Alexander Mr. Clark

Lilesville - Mr. John Alexander Clark, 85, died Monday, December 29, 2014, at his home. Memorial services will be 2:00PM Friday in Forestville United Methodist Church with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. John was born in Anson County on August 14, 1929, a son of the late John Franklin and Annie Goodwin Clark. John A. was retired from the US Army and the Air National Guard with nearly 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyne Krug Clark of the home; his children, Linda Trometer (Rick) of Albemarle, John Franklin Clark (Melissa) of Norwood, June Alice Clark (Niles Galloway) of Concord, and Hannelore Lawson of Charleston, SC; 4 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sister, Cletus Haywood Clark of Fletcher, William Marvin Clark of Lilesville, Tommy Clark of Pelzer, SC and Mildred Garner of Fayetteville.
