John Walker Johnny Teal

WADESBORO - Mr. John Walker Johnny Teal, 73, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home. There will be a memorial service at 11:00AM Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev Phil McRae officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Johnny was born June 5, 1943 in Anson County, NC a son of Wilbert Mae Walker Teal and the late Howard Dunlap Teal. He worked as a travel sales representative and mortgage generator. He graduated from Wadesboro High School in 1961 and attended Wingate College. Surviving are his mother, Wilbert Mae Teal of Wadesboro; his son, Wynn Teal of Raleigh; his grandson, Andrew Caleb Hanna; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Anne Teal of Hamilton, OH; his nephew, Brad Teal of Northern Kentucky and Cheryl Davis and husband, Jason of Liberty Township, OH and dear family friend, Wiley Williams of Wadesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
