ANSONVILLE - Rev. John Odell 'Johnny' Wilson, 67, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home. There will be a private graveside service on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Wilson Cemetery in Ansonville with Rev. Rodney Clements officiating. The family will greet friends from 7:00pm until 8:30pm Monday, December 15, 2014 at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro and other times at the home. Johnny was born January 12, 1947 in Richmond County, NC a son of the late John J. Wilson and the late Martha Martin Wilson Brackens. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation as an Area Foreman and also pastored Baptist churches in Anson and Montgomery Counties for more than 30 years. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Brenda Harward Wilson of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Benny Kelly of Ansonville; his grandsons, Jonathon Kelly and wife, Allison of Ansonville and Weston Kelly and wife, Scarlet of Wadesboro; his great-grandchildren, Austin, Emma, Laila and Ayden Kelly; his brother and sister-in-law, Dexter and Theresa Wilson of Ansonville and his nephews, George Wilson and Daniel Wilson and their families.
