Joshua Colby Mr. Ponds

ANSONVILLE - Mr. Joshua Colby Ponds, 18, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Anson Community Hospital due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be 2:00pm Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Red Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home. Joshua was born in Union County, NC April 3, 1995 a son of Wendee Leigh Ponds. He was a 2013 graduate of Anson Senior High School, worked part-time at The Fast Shop in Ansonville and had plans to enlist in the Marines. He is survived by his mother, Wendee Ponds and her companion, Alex Ruppe of the home; his sister and brothers, Madison Hyatt, Jaxon, Tristan and Wyatt Ruppe; his grandparents, Franklin and Sherry Lee Ponds of Ansonville; his aunt, Christy Treadaway of Albemarle; his cousins, Hollie Treadaway of Concord and Drew Treadaway of Camp Lejeune and his great-grandmother, Betty Jo Lee of Wadesboro.
