Joyce Hinson Driggers Hardaway

WADESBORO - On Monday, February 10, 2025, Joyce Hinson Driggers Hardaway, 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Wadesboro.

There will be a Funeral service at 11:00AM, Friday, February 14, 2025 at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Marsh officiating. Entombment will follow at Anson Memorial Park Mausoleum. 

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Joyce was born August 25, 1942 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Thomas Fredrick Hinson, Jr. and Alice Elizabeth Bailey Hinson.  She graduated from Wadesboro High School and retired from West Kitting Mills, Inc..  Joyce was a devoted member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church, having served as church clerk and pianist.  She dearly loved her church and church family as this was a vital part of her life. 

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christy Lynn Bingham and Jodie Driggers Powell (Robbie Rogers) both of Wadesboro;  her grandchildren, Jonathon Powell of Polkton, Kaila Driggers of Wadesboro, Joseph Powell (Maddie) of Polkton, Jody Lynn Driggers and Debra Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Johnsie, Shaun and Ozzy; her brother, James Harold Hinson (Ellen) of Wadesboro.  her nephew and nieces, Darren Hinson (Penny) of Wadesboro,  Sherry Couch (Danny) of Wagram, Dana Hinson Smith (Brian) of Cheraw,SC, Melissa Forbes (Eric) of Wadesboro and Jessica Hogan (Todd) of Greensboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Melvin Driggers and Daniel Hardaway; her brothers, Charles Hinson and Ray Hinson.
