Memorial services will be 11:00AM Saturday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Hunter and Minister Nancy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00AM in the First Baptist Church parlor. A loving wife and mother, Juanita was born in Anson County on January 24, 1927, one of ten children (and the last surviving child) born to Sidney Braxton and Hattie Ardella Brock Johnson. She graduated from Wadesboro High School in 1945 and was married January 26, 1949 to Harold Kenneth Capel, Sr. Juanita was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where, in her younger years, she grew her relationship with the Lord in Hope, Trust and Faith for the journey of her life. She retired a bookkeeper and secretary having worked for Little Cotton Mfg., J.B. Watson & Co., Herman and Bill Capel, and the Bonsal Co. In addition, she was an integral part of her husband's dairy farming business and a cornerstone to her family. Juanita enjoyed helping others, taking care of family, gardening and cooking. Despite the busy and long days, you could see her reading her Bible, without fail, making notations to prepare and enrich the lives of us to follow. Her motto was, 'Work hard, prepare for tomorrow and share with others.' In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Stanmore Johnson, Eunice Womble, Ernest Johnson, Louise Alexander, Braxton Johnson, Evelyn Maxwell, Leona Harrington, Harold Johnson, and Sara Little. Survivors include: her daughter, Nancy Louise Capel; a son, Harold Kenneth 'Kenny' Capel, Jr. and his wife, Diane; two step-grandchildren, Crystal and Tony; and four step-great-grandchildren, Toni, Haley, Brice and Aidan. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
