Mrs. Judy Hutchinson Almond, 72, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 11, 2011, while at CMC-Union Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Larry King, Rev. Chris Jackson and Rev. Ed Kivett officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Judy was born in Anson County on October 17, 1939, a daughter of the late James Roy and Elizabeth Usrey Hutchinson. She taught music of all kinds to both children and adults for most of her adult life. She also spent many years playing piano and organ for churches throughout Anson County. It was through her music ministry that Judy felt most comfortable serving and witnessing to others about her tremendous faith.
Surviving are her children, David (Danielle) Almond of Browns Summit and Amy (Alan) James of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Amber, April, Angel, and Andrew James and Ranford Almond; and one great-grandchild, Kylie Elizabeth Treadaway. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ranford 'Shorty' Almond in 2010.
