WADESBORO - Mrs. Julia Williamson Moore, 89, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, February 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Sarah Kalish officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. Julia was born February 17, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Noah Williamson and the late Pauline Trexler Williamson. She was retired from West Knitting Mills and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, Wadesboro. Surviving are her daughters, Diane Moore of Wadesboro and Kathy Moore of Cheraw, SC; her brothers and sisters, Harvey Williamson of Washington, DC, Lester Williamson and Pat Baldis both of Morven and Mike Williamson and wife, Joyce of Columbia, SC; her sisters-in-law, Elsie Gillis and husband, Herman of Statesville, Edna Welborn of Asheville, Pauline Allen of Greenwood, SC, Elsie Moore of Merced, CA, and Thelma Williamson of Wadesboro; her brother-in-law, Bob Moore and wife, Kathie of Greenwood, SC; and her very special feline companion, Orri. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harris Moore and her brothers and sisters, Duckie, Pete, Steele, Barbara and Margie Williamson, Sadie Campbell and Mary Alice Shook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Haven of Richmond County, 1119 US-1, Rockingham, NC 28379 or First United Methodist Church, 118 E. Morgan St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
