Wadesboro - On Thursday, 21, 2022, Mr. Julian Ray Deese, 81, passed away peacefully at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe.
The family will greet friends Saturday, April 23 2022 from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm at Leavitt Funeral Home.
The family will have a private graveside service at Anson Memorial Park at a later date.
Julian was born April 29, 1940, in Anson County, NC, and was a son of the late Ray William Deese and the late Sarah Frances Burr Deese. He was a retired truck driver, having worked with Pilot Freight Carriers, CMH Flooring Products, and Edwards Wood Products.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Cathy Grantham of Longs, SC, and Tim Deese of Polkton; his grandchildren, Rick Davis (Michelle) and Chase Davis both of Chesterfield, SC, Jamie Diggs, and John Diggs both of Wadesboro; his-great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Jaylynn, and Austin Curry, Wyatt Adams, Hunter Blackwell, Colbi Griffin (Garrett) and Kendal Eddins (Brandon); his great-great-granddaughter, Remi Eddins; his brother, Warren Deese of Polkton and his brother-in-law, Wayne Kelly (Linda) of Morven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Kelly Deese, and by his brother and sisters, Horace Deese, Margie Chastain, Helen Melton, Linda Craig, and Arlene Sanford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McWhorter Hospice House, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
