WADESBORO - Mrs. Julie Henry Morris, 62, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center Pineville.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Yvonne Hechler officiating. Interment will follow in Sandy Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery, Morven.
The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Friday at the funeral home and other times at the Griggs Home, 1772 Doc Wyatt Rd., Lilesville.
Julie was born March 31, 1952 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late George Edward and Eugenia 'Jean' Kanipe Henry. She was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
Surviving are her daughter, Shannon Henry of the home; her son, Chris (Sherry) Morris of Roanoke, VA; her grandchildren, Seth and Alexis Morris of Roanoke, VA; her brother and sister, Gary (Penny) Henry of Rockingham and Donna (Larry) Griggs of Lilesville; her sister-in-law, Sherrill Henry of Morven; her brother-in-law, Bobby Morris of Morven; her sister of the heart, Diann Lear of Wadesboro and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ronald 'Ronnie' Morris, brother, George E. 'Eddie' Henry, Jr. and sister, Joy Jean Henry.

In October, during the services for her brother, Eddie, she made it known she wanted everyone to wear jeans and dress casual for her service. So, please honor her wishes and come casual.
