Kenneth C. Kenny Martin

ANSONVILLE Mr. Kenneth Clarence "Kenny" Martin, 61, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Lilesville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Kenny was born July 14, 1956 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Thomas Sandy Martin and the late Katherine Ricketts Martin. He was the maintenance supervisor at Ambassador Health and Rehab. He served for a number of years on the Ansonville Town Council and Ansonville Fire Department and Ansonville Rescue Squad. He was a member of Peachland Gospel Tabernacle. Surviving are his wife, Becky Caudle Martin; his children, Karen Martin and Kyle Martin both of Ansonville; his grandchildren, Riley Jones of Ansonville and Benzlee Martin of Wadesboro; his brothers and sisters, Tommy (Linda) Martin, Johnny (Linda) Martin and Kathy (Howard) Broome all of Wadesboro, Vernon (Pat) Martin of Franklinville, Jimmy (Penny) Martin of Monroe, Judy (Ray) Byrum of Peachland and Lynn (Brian) Zimmerman of Morven; his sisters-in-law, Diane Martin of Wadesboro and Sharon (Mark) Smotherman of Clemson, SC and his nieces and nephews and their families. Kenny enjoyed his time spent working at Ambassador Health and Rehab and he dearly loved the residents there, because of that, the family suggests memorials be made to Ambassador Health and Rehab, Family Council, 2051 Country Club Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
