Larry Franklin Taylor

MORVEN  - On Monday, August 12, 2024, Mr. Larry Franklin Taylor, 82, passed away peacefully at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Larry was born May 29, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, NC, and was a son of the late Ceburn Berg Taylor and the late Peggy Ruth Carpenter Taylor. He graduated from Burnsville High School and had a long career in textiles, having worked for many years with Unity Knitting Mills and later retired from Dan River in Morven.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Cindy Huneycutt of Monroe, Michele Taylor and Brandis Chewning (Brandon) both of Polkton and Larry Williams (Stephanie) of Ruby, SC; his grandchildren, Dustin Simmons (Crystal) of Monroe, Destini Simmons of Ansonville, Presleigh Pittman (Jacob) of New Salem, NC, Madilyn Williams of Ruby, SC and Brooklin Chewning and Bristol both of Polkton and his great-grandchildren, Daylin, Lukas and Reed Simmons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Trexler Taylor.

Larry's family is most grateful to the Anson Health and Rehab staff for the care and concern they have given him for the past three years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activities Department at Anson Health Rehab, 405 S. Greene St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
