Lawrence Martin Rogers

Wadesboro - Mr. Lawrence Martin Rogers, 68, died Thursday, December 1, 2016, while a patient at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Memorial services will be 3:00PM Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Morven Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Threatt officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Larry was born September 17, 1948 in Lakewood, NJ. He was a son of the late Kenneth M. Rogers and Alice Forsythe Rogers. Following his graduation from high school he entered the US Navy where he served honorably upon several submarines. Later, he worked in and retired from the steel industry as an operating engineer for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 in New Jersey. After retiring, Larry and Anna moved to Wadesboro in 2008. They attended Morven Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Anna Estelle of the home; two brothers, Paul and Steve Rogers both of New Jersey; a son, Jesse Rogers of Alabama; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Rogers of Alabama.
