Fleetwood, NC - Mr. Lee Johnson Hamilton, age 59, died Monday, June 15th, from injuries sustained in an automobile crash.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 20th, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro, NC. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will follow the service at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Polkton.
Lee was born April 1, 1961, a son of the late Mildred Johnson and Thomas Linwood Hamilton. Following his graduation from Bowman High School in 1979, Lee embarked on a lifelong love of building things. He learned much from his uncle Joe Harrington and eventually moved to Fleetwood, NC accepting a position with New River Building Supply in Boone. Lee was an awesome cabinet maker that took tremendous pride in his work.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Wanda Jenkins Hamilton of the home; two sons, Zachary Lee “Zach” Hamilton and Joshua Lin “Josh” Hamilton both of Fleetwood; a brother, Thomas Linwood “Lin” Hamilton Jr. (Kathryn) of Mt. Airy; a sister, Linda H. Hardin (Danny) of Greensboro; and an aunt, Eloise Harrington of Polkton.
Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, including Luke Hamilton (Angela), Paige Hardin (Tray Neilson - Fiancé), Molly Hamilton, and Tyler Hardin.
