Lee Alan Rushing

WADESBORO - On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Mr. Lee Alan Rushing, 63, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his bedside.

He was born July 21, 1959 in Gaston County, NC and was a son of the late Patricia Ann Honeycutt.

Lee was a graduate of the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC and he had a long and successful career as a registered nurse. He enjoyed his work with Anson Community Hospital and later retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Scott Rushing; his son, Raymond Kifer and his wife, Lela Vang and their children, Mason Kifer and Nova Kifer; his daughter, Renee Kifer Oxendine and her husband, Benjamin Oxendine and their daughter Lilliana Oxendine and his dearest friends, Nancy Capel and Kathryn McLeod.

Lee's wishes were to have no service and his ashes be taken to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and be spread there.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
