Leroy Thomas Mr. Lear, Sr

WADESBORO - Mr. Leroy Thomas Lear, Sr., 81, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Wallace and Rev. Barry Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with masonic rites. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday and other times at the home. Leroy was born November 3, 1933 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Millard Lear and Bessie Harrington Lear. He was retired from Hornwood, a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church and Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #64. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Betty Braswell Lear of the home; his children, Leroy Lear, Jr. and Diann Lear both of the home; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lib Lear of Wadesboro and his niece, Joyce Page of Davidson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby Lear. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anson Community Hospice, 1119 N US HWY 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
