WADESBORO - Mr. Lester Charles Dawkins, Jr. 57, died Saturday November 22, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Services will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 26, 2014 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home. Charles was born December 18, 1956 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Lester Charles and Katie Lett Dawkins. He was a bus driver with Holiday Tours of Randleman. Surviving are his daughters, Alisha Dawkins of Matthews and Tiffany Dawkins of Monroe; their mother, Dianne Leonard Dawkins of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Taylor, Haylee, Braylon, Malachi, Cameron, and Danielle; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Edwin Cornwell of Lilesville and Geneva and Bob Lowry of Wadesboro; his nieces and nephews, Berry Thomas of Lilesville, Kelly Howell of Lumberton, Christy Street of Raeford, Chris Lowry of Wadesboro and Chad Dennis and Sally Knott both of Parkersburg, WV and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gwen Dennis. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
