Liles McLendon

Mr. William Liles McLendon, 61, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte. Liles was born June 15, 1958 in Anson County, NC and was a son of the late Moran Dorith McLendon, Jr. and the late Doris Brock McLendon. He was a graduate of Southview Academy, class of 1976. He had worked in construction for several years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed spending time on the McLendon family farm in Morven. Surviving are his sister and brothers, Melanie Crutchfield (Stephen) of St. John’s Island, SC, Mac McLendon (Nancy) of Pittsboro and Brock McLendon (John Schilz) Charlotte; his nephews , Chandler Kohn of Charleston, SC, Lennox Kohn of Washington, DC, Isaac Wallace of Durham and Nigel Wallace (Patricia) of Los Angeles, CA and his aunt, Nam Brock of Wadesboro. Given North Carolina’s current mandate of social isolation protocols, the McLendon family has elected to have a private graveside service at Anson Memorial Park. Thank you for your consideration and understanding of their decision. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Emergency Department Doctors and Staff at Atrium Health Anson while they cared for Liles before his being transferred to Atrium Health Main. The family also thanks the Atrium Main staff for the care he received in a very professional and loving manner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
