WADESBORO Mrs. Linda Moore Lindsey, 67, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Perko officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home.
Linda was born January 18, 1951 in Darlington County, SC a daughter of the late John Benjamin Moore and the late Inez Hulsey Moore. She was a graduate of Hartsville High School Class of 1969 and was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections. She had also worked for a number of years for Cuddy Farms and Walmart in Wadesboro. She was a long-time member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Patricia "Bunk" Lindsey of Chesterfield, SC; her granddaughter, Carley Eason and fiance, T.C. Lowery of Mt. Croghan, SC; her step-grandsons, Josh Shaw and Michael Shaw both of Chesterfield, SC; her sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Steve Tarlton of Wadesboro; her niece, who was much like a daughter, Jennifer Tarlton of Wadesboro; her nephew, John Tarlton of Wadesboro; her great-nephews and great-niece, Gage, Savannah and Gavin Tarlton all of Wadesboro and a half sister, Barbara (Danny) DeBerry of Rockingham.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Lee Lindsey, Jr. and Matthew Earl Lindsey and a half brother, Jimmy Thompson.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Union County for the loving care they gave to Linda and for making her final days much better for her and the family.
