Linda Garris Martin

WADESBORO - On Monday, November 28, 2022, Mrs. Linda Garris Martin, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior while in the comfort of her home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Peachland Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Lynn Garris officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Linda was born February 4, 1950, in Anson County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Julian Jesse Garris and the late Daisy Crider Garris. She was a 1968 graduate of Bowman High School and retired from Unity Knitting Mills with more than 30 years of service.

She was a member of Peachland Gospel Tabernacle for more than 50 years where she has served as choir director, and worship leader and corresponded with the church family by sending greeting cards. She also sang with the gospel music group, The Praisers for many years.

those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Tommy Martin; her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Tim Thomas of Peachland, Shelia and Jerry Langley of Wadesboro and Melissa and Benjy Horne of Peachland; her grandchildren, Krista Langley, Ashton Horne, Austin Langley, and Aiden Horne; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Pat Garris of Polkton and her beloved dog, Little Man.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peachland Gospel Tabernacle, P.O. Box 107, Peachland, NC 28133.
