MORVEN - Mrs. Lou Etta Self Moseley Deese, 73, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Morven Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Whitlow officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Lou Etta was born March 14, 1942 in Kershaw County, SC a daughter of the late Dalton Washington Self and the late Sadie Warr Self. She was retired from Cory Knitt in Ansonville and was a member of Morven Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Thelma Moseley and Cynthia (Chris) Sorrenti both of Morven; her grandchildren, Rodney Thomas, Timothy Thomas, Joshua Self, Brandon Sorrenti and Madison Sorrenti and 4 great- grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Tommy Self of Morven, Jimmy Self of Kershaw, SC, Irene Joyner of Bishopville, SC, Dora Gillespie, Kathy Taylor, Flora Mae Williams, Sara Dollarhyde and Dot Sullivan all of Bethune, SC, Joyce Self of Lancasater, SC and Joan Gabel of Cassatt, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Deese, son, Roy Keith Self and brother, Junior Self. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170 in an effort to assist with funeral expenses.
