Louise Treadaway Kendall

           WADESBORO – On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Mrs. Louise Treadaway Kendall, 84, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC. 

            There will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Helms and Rev. Kevin Ricketts officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. 

            The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her grandson. 

            Louise was born October 1, 1939, in Anson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late William Osborne Treadaway and the late Manelle Lowery Treadaway Tucker. She was a graduate of Wadesboro High School, Pfieffer Junior College, and Baptist Hospital School of Nursing.  

            She worked for many years with Dr. McKinnon and Dr. Smethie in Wadesboro and following retirement worked as a substitute teacher with Anson County Schools. She was also a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church. 

            She leaves to cherish her memory; her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Debbie Kendall of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Bo Kendall (Maggie), Casey Kendall, and Dakota Kendall Hatok all of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Calia Rain Kendall and Ian Thomas Hatok; her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Matt Everett of Lexington,TX; her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Treadaway of Wadesboro and Faye Treadaway of Morven, Sandra Ricketts (Jerry) of Wadesboro; her brother-in-law, Larry Kendall (Katherine) of Wadesboro; her niece and nephews, Kelly Morton (David), Adam Everett and Kevin Everett (Haley). 

             In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddy Kendall; her son, Scott Kendall; her stepfather, Killian Tucker and her brothers, Bobby Treadaway and Phillip Treadaway. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastview Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 274, Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to North Wadesboro Baptist Church, P.O. Box 764, Wadesboro, NC 28170. 

            The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.leavittfh.com
