MORVEN - Mrs. Louise Jacobs Lee, 82, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McFarlan. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Louise was born July 22, 1933 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Benjamin and Barbara Coward Jacobs. She had worked for 20 years with West Knitting Mills and following that worked for a number of years as a waitress at Western Sizzlin' Steak House in Wadesboro and Quincy's Steak House in Monroe. Surviving are her children, Marie (Benny) Whichard of Cameron, Larry Lee and Ellen Wilson both of Morven and William Lee of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Deanna Bunchanan and Brittany Whichard both of Cary, Blake Lee and Derek (Dawn) Lee both of Bennettsville, SC, Donna Liles of Monroe, Toni Lassiter of Hamlet and Travis Wilson of Burlington; her great-grandchildren, Price Bunchanan, Eli Lee, Luke Burr, Jace Liles, Kristlyn Liles, James Henry, Kayla Howell, Trenton Lassiter, Lydia Wilson and Seth Wilson; and her brother, Barney Jacobs of Rockingham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Lee and brothers and sister, Dewey, Johnny, and Bo Jacobs and Sue Pegram. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Union County, Anson Pharmacy, Kathy McLaurin, Margie Davis and others who have been so gracious in their love and care for Louise. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 900 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
