Louise Marks Mrs. Rivers

Wadesboro-Mrs. Louise Marks Rivers, 90, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Hendersonville Nursing and Rehab in Flat Rock, NC. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday, September 6, 2014, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilesville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Louise was born May 23, 1924 in Lilesville, NC, a daughter of the late J. Reb and Dallie Usrey Marks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rivers; son, James Michael Seago; granddaughter, Michelle Seago Marshburn; and sisters, Marguerite Bunn and Mary Alice Gathings. Surviving are her daughter, Dianne (Harold) Seago Driggers of Hendersonville; her grandchildren, Dawn James of Camden, SC, Chad (Ann) Driggers of Glenwood Springs, CO, Kevin (Becky) Driggers of Hendersonville and Michael Seago of Fayetteville; as well as 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Reid Marks, Sue (Bill) Henry, Ann (Moody) Hough, and Jeanne (Allen) Snuggs, all of Wadesboro; Wayne (Diane) Marks of Albemarle; and Marie (Ed) Roberson of Memphis, TN. Mrs. Rivers was associated with the restaurant business, having previously owned two restaurants in Lilesville, NC, and the Flame Restaurant in Marshville, NC.
