Louise Myers Watson Shepherd

WADESBORO - Mrs. Louise Myers Watson Shepherd, 97, died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Anson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Louise was born June 4, 1919 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Charles Paul Myers and the late Sallie Gulledge Myers. She was a graduate of Deep Creek High School, a life-long member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Anson County Department of Social Services as Food Stamp Supervisor. Surviving are her daughter, Beth Rogers of Wadesboro; her grandson, Jason Rogers of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Rylan Rogers and Aubree Rogers; her nephew, Sydney Braswell and wife, Pat of Norwood; her niece, Anne McGee and husband, Vic of Wilmington and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carlton Watson and Norman Shepherd;son-in-law, Chester Rogers; grandson, Chad Rogers; sister, Elizabeth Braswell and nephew, Tim Braswell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Friends of Hampton B. Allen Library, Large Print Books, 120 S Greene St, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
