WADESBORO - Mrs. Louise Pegram Stalvey, 89, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 11:30AM, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Wadesboro Church of God with Rev. Loran Livingston officiating. Interment will be in Anson Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends following the service at the church on Saturday.
Louise was born September 30, 1926 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Ranford Pegram and the late Anne Jane Crider Pegram. She had worked for a number of years at Roses Five and Dime and Belk Department Store and was a faithful member of the Wadesboro Church of God.
She was a talented musician, playing the piano by ear and often singing with her late husband, Rev. G.W. Stalvey. She served the Wadesboro Church of God as pianist for a number of years and was often called on by members of the community to play for services.
Surviving are her son, Gwendel Stalvey of Indian Trail; her grandson, Shawn Stalvey of Fort Mill, SC; her great-grandson, Jaden Stalvey of Waxhaw and her brothers, Jack Pegram of Inman, SC, James Runt Pegram of Mint Hill and Eugene Pegram of Charlotte.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Annie Almond, Elmina Pegram, Ines Pegram and June, Joe and Bill Pegram.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wadesboro Church of God, 809 N. Greene St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
