Margaret Henry Mrs. Burr

WADESBORO - Mrs. Margaret Henry Burr, 84, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center Mercy in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, April 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Hunter, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Margaret was born in May 19, 1928 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Julian and Rosa Diggs Henry. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Calvin Burr of the home; her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Mitch Burr of Concord, NC and Lisa and Myron Morton of Morven, NC; her grandchildren, Dr. Jarrett Burr and wife, Lindsey of Davidson, NC, Dr. Jonathan Burr of Elon College, NC and Brittany Young of Morven, NC and her great-grandchildren Henry and Ellis Burr of Davidson, NC and Nikki Young of Morven, NC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Wilma Campbell, Lula McRae, Ruby Treadaway, Jimmy, Robert, George, Platt and Paul Henry and by a special niece, Cindy McRae Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
