Lilesville - Mrs. Margaret Moore Harris, 82, passed peacefully from this life while surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday in Lilesville Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Leavitt Funeral Home. Margaret was born in Anson County on October 28, 1931, a daughter of the late William Edward and Alice Baker Moore. She was married to the late Benford Harris and was retired from the Anson County Department of Social Services. Survivors include two sons, Benny Harris (Melody) of Wadesboro and Craig Harris (Kay) of Peachland; and three grandchildren, Brandon Harris, Alyssa Harris and Kelsey Harris. Also surviving are two sisters, Esta Smith of Terry, MS and Edna Hildreth of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a sister, Louise M. Hightower.
