Margaret Louise Lookabill Ingram

Margaret Louise Lookabill Ingram, 93, of Clarkton, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side, June 30, 2023.  Margaret was a native of Wadesboro, NC in Anson County.  Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Corrie Lookabill; husband, Harold Ingram, Sr.; four brothers, Frank, Roy, Fred, and Billy Lookabill and one sister Myrt Griffin.  She is survived by a son, Harold Ingram Jr. and Jessica of Brevard, NC; three daughters, Anne Bell and husband Bob of Sante Fe, NM, Joanie Basobas and husband Terry of Whiteville, NC, and Deana Elkins and husband Scott of Clarkton, NC; four grandchildren, Cara (husband Neil), Aubrey (husband Carey), Savanna, and Izaac; four great grandchildren, Kenley, Kai, Kohen, and Kate; one brother, Guy Lookabill and wife Jean of Charleston, SC, and one sister, Dorothy Tyson of Wadesboro, NC along with many nieces and nephews.  

Margaret was a devoted wife and committed her life to raising her children, and enjoying her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She showed her love by cooking and baking for family and friends, her favorite pastime.  She was faithful to her church family and dedicated to its ministry.  She will be remembered for her deep compassion for others and unending thoughtfulness.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at 11:00am on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Clarkton First Baptist Church with the celebration of life to follow at 12:00pm.  A private interment to follow at Clarkton Cemetery.

The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Clarkton First Baptist Church, or Habitat for Humanity.

The family wishes to thank her special caregivers who showed true compassion and love as they cared for her. We will forever be grateful!
