Margaret Tucker Mrs. Shaver

WADESBORO - Mrs. Margaret Tucker Shaver, 88, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at McWhorter House at Hospice of Union County in Monroe. Funeral services will be Monday, March 14, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Kaye Fry officiating. Interment will follow in Forestville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lilesville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Margaret was born March 24, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Lee Tucker and the late Kate Trexler Tucker. She retired from the general office of Family Dollar, Inc. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Shaver Edwards-Milliken (Gary) of Pawleys Island, S.C.; her grandchildren, Emily Diane Jamison (fianc Christy Greer), and Jon Michael Jamison (Amy), both of Charlotte, Janie Elizabeth Lawson-Palvado (David) of Pawleys Island, S. C., and Rebecca Danielle Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; great-grandchildren, Joshua Lawson, Jack Palvado, Price Jamison, Charlie Jamison, and Laurel Jamison. Also surviving are her brother and sisters, Ann Tucker Crotts (Robert) of Lincolnton, , Charles Buddy Tucker (Hazel) of Greensboro and Frances Tucker Starling of Wadesboro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brothers, Geraldine Tucker Birmingham, James Tucker, Robert L. 'Pete' Tucker, and Benny Tucker. The family would also like to thank Patsy Jamison (Ronnie), special friend and family member for all the care, love, and support she gave to Margaret and the entire family over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
