LAURINBURG ~ Margaret Ann "Rat" Hildreth Yokley, 83, of Laurinburg and formerly of Wadesboro passed away Monday, April 16, 2017 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.
Services will be 3:00pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 by the graveside at Anson Memorial Park, Wadesboro. A time of visitation will follow the service.
She was born November 2, 1934 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Thurston W. and Margaret Brower Hildreth. She was a graduate of Wadesboro High School and worked as a nurses assistant in Wadesboro. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wadesboro.
Surviving are her daughters, Cathy Yokley of Durham and Cindy Yokley of Thomasville; sisters, Amelia "Midge" English of Laurinburg and Tobitha "Bith" Deese of Charlotte; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Hildreth.
She was an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers and knew all the players names, never missing a televised game if possible. She enjoyed the beach, her word-hunt puzzles, and adult coloring books. "Rat," as she was known to family and friends, spent much time baking and sending her neighbors the goodies she prepared.
