ELLERBE - Mrs. Margie Johnson Cassidy Clark, 79, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro with Rev. Johnny Johnson and Rev. Tommy McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow in Seago Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Margie was born September 17, 1933 in Surry County, NC a daughter of the late James Jackson Johnson and the late Amy Deese Johnson. She was retired from the textile industry. Surviving are her husband, Wade Clark, Jr. of the home; her children, Jerry 'Ricky' Cassidy of Wadesboro, Jimmy Cassidy and Frankie Cassidy both of Ellerbe, Randy Cassidy of Rockingham, Irene McKenzie of Polkton and Maxine Smith of Lead Hill, AR; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Cassidy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
