Marguerite Powell Mrs. Coley

WADESBORO-Marguerite Powell Coley, eldest child born to Clayton and Madge Powell on May 7, 1928 went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2015. Angels are rejoicing as she enters Heaven and reunites with her loving husband, Buddy Coley; her precious son, Mertis Ray Mills; and her other siblings, Betty Harrington, Peggy Ponds and Jimmy Powell. Oh What A Glorious Day! Left to cherish her memories are her devoted daughters, Susan Murphy (Dennis) of Charlotte, NC and Sandy Davidson (Dean) of Manakin Sabot, VA; granddaughter, Dana Douglas (Chad) of Asheboro NC; great-granddaughters, Chelsea and Chloe Douglas; daughter-in-law, Pam Mills; grandson, Chad Mills and granddaughter, Lindsay Marshall; great-granddaughter, Mikala and great-grandson, Hunter; her nieces, nephews and extended family. This is her immediate family but her legacy as 'Mee Maw' touches many residents of Wadesboro. She also considered the members of Cathedral Baptist her extended family. She enjoyed her family immensely and she was the glue that held it together. Words cannot describe the loss and void created by her debilitating health. She will be missed by all who knew her but never, ever forgotten. A very special thank you goes to all who assisted in her care over the last two years. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Cathedral Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating. Interment will follow at Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at leavittfuneralhomewadesboro.com
