Peachland - Mrs. Marilyn Carpenter Helms, 59, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, December 12, 2016 at Harmony Community Church with Rev. Rocky Carpenter and Rev. George Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, December 11, 2015 from 6:000m until 8:00pm at the funeral home and other times at the home. Marilyn was born February 6, 1957 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Curtis Billie Carpenter and the late Fannie Lee Woodard Carpenter. Surviving are her husband, Ed Helms of the home; her son, Edward (Meagan) Helms of Marshville; her grandchildren, Natalie and Johnny; her brothers and sister, Dennis Carpenter, Donnie Carpenter, Carolyn Hamilton all of Polkton and Tommy Carpenter of Stanfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lynn, Randy, and Rick Carpenter. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O.
