Chesterfield - Mrs. Mary Teal Baker, 88, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Cheraw Healthcare, Inc., in Cheraw, SC. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Friday in the Chesterfield Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Coyle officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park, Wadesboro, NC. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Mary was born in High Point, NC, on January 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Stephen Wilson and Cornelia Adams Teal. She graduated from Chesterfield High School. She was retired from the Duff-Norton Co. and also a retired hairdresser. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Henry Baker; her son, Charles Henry Baker; and her sister, Ruth Teal Threatt. Survivors include her nieces and nephews.
