ANSONVILLE - Mrs. Mary Frances 'MaMa' Aycock Black, 93, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.
Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 29, 2012 by the graveside in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wadesboro.
The family will greet friends Friday, September 28, 2012 from6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home.
Mary Frances was born May 31, 1919 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Collier Bennet Aycock and the late Fannie Maner Aycock. She was a homemaker and worked along side her husband on their tobacco farm.
Surviving are her children, Judi (Mabon) Kimrey of Norwood, Martha (Johnny) Mullinex of Troy, Nat (Carol) Black, Susan (James) Keever of Albemarle, Kent Black of Ansonville, Robin (Donald) Shaver of Albemarle and David (Ann) Black of Ansonville; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brother and sister, David Aycock of Florence, SC and Martha Aycock of Albemarle; and her nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Black and her sons, Joe and Bennett Black and her brothers and sisters, Bill Aycock, Andrew Aycock, Sarah Garris, Bennett Aycock and Jack Aycock.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ambassador Health and Rehab for their loving care given to MaMa Black while she was a resident there.
